Karin Hennessy

Director of Product Management for User Trust and Privacy

Karin Hennessy is the Director of Product Management for User Trust and Privacy at Google, looking after consumer privacy and controls in advertising. She’s a fierce advocate for users, looking to bring the next generation of pro-consumer experiences to advertising and ensure sustainable access to information for everyone. With a deep background in advertising technology, she’s been at the center of innovation in ads at Google for over 10 years, helping build leading products like Display & Video 360 and Ads Creative Studio, prior to shifting focus to consumer tools. Before Google, Karin took her curiosity in how people adopt technology and inspiration from a degree in Anthropology from Columbia University to advertising agencies like Razorfish and Publicis, where she guided brands and marketers through digital transformation.

Outside of the office, she spends her time chasing after her three lively young sons in Brooklyn and upstate New York. Hobbies are scant with such a brood, but yoga, baking, and gardening are occasionally attempted.

Thrilled to join to talk about my passion for building innovative products,
like Google's recent My Ad Center, and the importance of creating
a culture in tech that lifts up and empowers everyone."
